COMPANY COMMUNITY MISSION

Strengthen associate engagement through social responsibility. We believe in giving back to the communities where we work and live. We encourage and support our associates’ commitment to giving back and helping improve their communities.

OVERVIEW OF EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

ADP recognizes the importance businesses have in their local communities and believes strongly in encouraging its associates to volunteer in the community as a testament to its continued commitment to being socially responsible. To demonstrate that commitment, ADP offers its associates the opportunity to donate their time to contribute to the well-being of their communities during work hours (eight hours annually per Full Time associate).  We have four or five annual fundraisers that we organize to raise money for United Way charities and ADP matches the money raised by employees.  In addition to this, we are constantly sending out volunteer opportunities to our associates to utilize the 8-hour paid volunteer day as well as going above and beyond volunteering outside of the eight hours.

Why our company volunteers

Meeting volunteers from other companies is a good community networking experience.  Volunteerism engages our associates through their participation in social responsibility. Our community mission says it all. We find it important to give back to the community and help improve it as much as possible!

BIGGEST VOLUNTEER ACCOMPLISHMENT IN 2014

We had nearly 50% of employees involved in volunteering on some level.

A STORY WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE

A story from an ADP Associate:

“I am part of a committee within ADP that strives to support our values.  One of these values is Social Responsibility.  Ten years ago I had to look at the cost of day care that outweighed my salary so I decided to become a stay at home mom when my daughter was born and my son followed two years later.  Rising Rent, car payment, monthly bills, groceries and rising gas costs were making ends very difficult to meet.   My husband’s paycheck was only a few dollars too many monthly to qualify for food stamps and the only other assistance we qualified for was state funded health insurance for our children only.

THIS is why I have a soft spot in my heart for the Food Bank of Larimer County as it helped my family out for seven years.  They help out those who don’t make quite enough to make ends meet, but make too much for federal/state assistance.  They were the reason my kids always had SOMETHING to eat when they came up to me and said, “Mommy… I’m hungry.”  As soon as my kids were both old enough to be in school, I returned to work.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for this organization! Being able to volunteer for the Food Bank through ADP gives me the opportunity to know that I am helping another family, a person with a disability, an elderly person, or simply a person between jobs be able to put food on their table.

Volunteering at organizations such as these brings the human element to light and humbles the soul.  I am excited to say that since volunteering as a group with ADP I am now a regular volunteer with the Food Bank and help out on a monthly basis.  I don’t know that I would have been able to get my foot in the door if it were not for my opportunity given first by ADP.   Thank you ADP for having great values like Social Responsibility and giving me the ability to pay it forward!”
