COMPANY MISSION
Headwaters Realty was founded in June 2014 with the mission of exceeding client's expectations in their home purchase or home sale using cutting edge technology and giving back to the community.
OVERVIEW OF EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
The Headwaters Realty volunteer program began in June 2014. We have two main focus areas: Education and the Environment. As a company, we organize one volunteer project per quarter that fits into one of the above focus areas. We invite our past and present clients, friends, and families to join us at our volunteer projects.
We are committed to making our volunteering efforts an integral part of how we do business. A portion of all commissions goes towards our community engagement projects. We hire agents who also believe in this mission and each agent organizes one volunteer project per year with the local nonprofit of their choice.
WHY OUR COMPANY VOLUNTEERS
We believe that by volunteering and giving back to the community, we have the ability to Affect change and improve where we live, work, and play.
BIGGEST VOLUNTEER ACCOMPLISHMENT IN 2014
We had 29 volunteers contribute 89 hours. Since one volunteer hour is valued at $22.55, this translates to $2,006.95 donated to the CSU Environmental Learning Center. Our Agents and Staff at Headwaters Realty volunteered a total of 65 hours in 2014. Our total impact in 2014 was 36 volunteers and 154 hours translating to $3,472.70 invested into the community.
We are very excited about increasing our impact in the community in 2015!
A STORY WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE
We had our first volunteer project on November 1st with the CSU Environmental Learning Center in conjunction with Make a difference day. We planned a project large enough to accommodate 30 volunteers, but were not sure how many people would be interested in volunteering with us since it was our first project. We were astounded when 29 volunteers showed up to help us install a flagstone walkway in the community garden, expand garden beds, pick invasive weeds, and build new trails where they had been washed away by the September 2013 Floods.
WHERE WE HELPED IN 2014
CSU Environmental Learning Center, Fort Collins High School, Putnam Elementary, and Cache la Poudre Middle School.
