A STORY WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE

On October 25, 2014, 35 Woodward volunteers helped winterize Boyd Lake State Park. A park favorite for Northern Colorado, Boyd Lake is a water sports haven that attracts numerous visitors for its scenic views of Long’s Peak and expansive acreage. With unseasonably warm weather, Woodward members and family cleaned up the shoreline for the winter. After working beside their parents, the children took a break to learn about the surrounding wildlife from a Colorado Parks and Wildlife Naturalist. Collecting bags of trash, Woodward members not only enjoyed a morning out in the sun, but ensured that Boyd Lake would remain in pristine condition for visitors throughout the winter season.

WHERE WE HELPED IN 2014

Not only does Woodward host a successful United Way campaign, but we are also hard at work as volunteers in the community. As a United Way of Larimer County Business Cares Member, Woodward employees in 2014 contributed a total of 755 volunteer hours. Service projects included STEM programming in local schools, donating 245 hygiene kits for the Salvation Army, and working in community gardens. Woodward also provided grants, through the Woodward Charitable Trust, to 17 deserving nonprofits in Larimer County.
